It's the Easter holidays and what better way to spend some time creating Art? Join Neil G Smith on a journey of discovery getting out and about capturing what you see and creating your own art pieces.

Week 1 of the Kids Art Class comprises of 2 Sessions the first of which will be 30-45 minutes on Monday and then followed up by a morning drawing and painting for 90 minutes. The cost of £14.50 covers Monday 5th and Friday 9th April.

Neil can be contacted on: if you have questions any questions.

Introduce the Project

Monday, 5th April                        Morning 10:00 - 10:30am

The first session introduces the project. Over the next 4 days the kids can will take part in their own Treasure Hunt. The Hunt can involve all the family and all can try sketching but those registered can only participate in the video (Zoom) sessions.

Using a mobile phone, you will record finding the different objects and you can take more than one picture. If you have a printer you could make up a scrap book in your Sketchbook and create some sketches. Think out the box and try to find the objects in those really obscure settings.

  • Monday - Nature - Daffodils, or any flowers in full bloom.
  • Tuesday - Travel - Bus Stop, record the timetable and destinations.
  • Wednesday - At work - Car Garage, could be a petrol station.
  • Thursday - Fun - Teddy Bear, could be in a shop window.

The Painting

Friday 9th April                        Morning 10:00 - 11:30am

During the Friday session we will then continue the fun activities by creating a finished painting. The painting should include all the objects found during the week.

Neil will be giving tips and advice and also creating my own piece to inspire the kids.
