Pastels in Motion: An Exploration of Impressionist Mark-Making

Discover the creative potential of mark-making in this engaging and hands-on pastel workshop. Led by experienced artist Jane, this session invites you to explore the fascinating interplay of shape, texture, and movement in your artwork. Through a series of guided demonstrations and exercises, Jane will introduce you to key techniques that bring energy and life to your pastel compositions.

Inspired by the dynamic works of the Impressionists, you’ll learn how to use marks to create a sense of motion, depth, and vibrancy. Whether you are completely new to pastels or looking to experiment with fresh ideas, this workshop offers a relaxed and supportive space to play, create, and push your boundaries.

No previous experience is necessary—just bring a sense of curiosity, a willingness to experiment, and your passion for art!

All profits from our workshops enable our not-for-profit organisation to provide art for our community and vulnerable groups. Our workshops are non-refundable but where possible, with 48 hours notice, we will transfer you to another similar workshop.
